Let’s be clear, most HPP machines in the market will give the same result if we look only at the produced food. 600 MPa, or 6000 bar, as you prefer, applied to the product for a determined amount of time, typically 3 minutes, will do the same result. So, the difference among machines must be looked for somewhere else.

STATE-OF-THE-ART MATERIALS
Safety
The rules for certification state that the vessels must be designed with the “Leak before break” principle. All the manufacturers must work that way. An external and independent certification company must revise the design principles, the compliance of all the materials used in the vessel, their defect inspections, and a final overpressure test.
During the life of the vessel, in all cases, some not-so-deep inspections will be scheduled to check the integrity of the inner layer and other highly stressed surfaces. The same way they do in aeronautics. And the rules apply to all manufacturers.
Service
Our company has the best reputation regarding the servicing of more than 400 high pressure waterjet cutting machines for food in more than 43 countries. The most remote machines are working in Canada, Chile, South Africa, Australia, Japan or Finland. Also in Lebanon, Guatemala, Kuwait… More than 25 machines in the USA, and Europe as our best market.
Price
If you look at the current HPP market and the share of the market of each supplier it is evident that, after safety seems reasonably evident, and assuming a good service level, price is making big differences in the market share of the three current contenders. We can honestly say that there is a good space for our price policy to make us grow safe and consistently. Our first customers may enjoy better general conditions.

The current machines of the market use the same pumping system since the beginning: independent 6000 bar intensifiers.
It’s possible to increase the performance of the pumping system by combining different pumping intensifiers in steps. This combination utilises during more time 100% of the power of the electric installed power. A more economical to maintain 4000 bar system will get your pressure at 4000 bar, and then you use the 6000 bar intensifiers to get at 6000 bar. Isn’t it evident? The expensive 6000 intensifier is used only one third of the time, and you don’t use it with low pressures and low stroke times, which adds wear to the seals. Our experience with 4000 bar intensifiers and our constant seek for better performance and better price has helped us get to this combination.
